Understanding of terms and conditions-
In the following terms and conditions, you are agreeing that you have read the terms and conditions in full and will abide by them. In these terms and conditions, you are agreeing that Latif driving center LTD and your instructor/tutor/instructor still possesses the right to charge for any course/lesson/tutorial should it be affected by your failure to comply with these terms and conditions. By taking a course with Latif driving center LTD you are agreeing that you have read these terms and conditions in full and will abide by them. The following terms and conditions are set out in numerous parts for ease of navigation and it is compulsory for the customer to abide by of the parts of the terms and conditions.
YOUR INSTRUCTOR/TUTOR AND LATIF DRIVING CENTER LTD
Part A– Concerning the relationship between the instructor/tutor and Latif driving center LTD, your instructor/tutor is a freelance franchisee of Latif driving center LTD.
Part B– There should be no contractual liability between Latif driving center LTD and the customer or between the instructor and the customer.
DRIVING LICENCES AND FITNESS TO DRIVE
Part A– On your first driving lesson (or in advance of your first driving lesson), you must produce a current, provisional, full or international valid driving license and you must be fit to drive with regard to legal and medical requirements.
Part B – It is recommended to have your eyesight test before undertaking any courses with Latif driving center LTD to ensure that you are eligible to drive. Your eyesight must meet medical requirements and you must be able to read a number plate from the required distance, if you cannot read a number plate from the required distance then the instructor/tutor may refuse to allow you to drive.
Part A– Your instructor/tutor will provide a progress card on your first lesson; students are expected to keep the card safe and in good order and must bring it with them to every lesson to enable an accurate record of any lessons and training already received with Latif driving center LTD.
Part B– You are to be held accountable to keep an accurate record of lessons to ensure punctuality and to avoid errors being made.
YOUR INSTRUCTOR/TUTOR’S ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Part A– Your instructor agrees to uphold a professional behavior towards you as requested by the Professional code of conduct and the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency’s (DVSA) Code of Practice for Approved Driving Instructors.
Part B– As required by the law, your instructor/tutor will be held accountable to maintaining his vehicle in a clean, roadworthy condition.
Part C– Your instructor/tutor will be held accountable for providing a vehicle that is fitted with dual-controls, and learner driver livery for your safety.
Part A– Your instructor/tutor will carry the appropriate motor insurance as required by the law, should you be involved in an accident as a learner driver while you are in control of driving the instructor’s vehicle.
Part B– Your tutor is also responsible for providing a vehicle that is fully taxed and insured for driving tuition and practical driving test purposes.
PRICES FOR LESSONS
Part A– The duration of each lesson is 2 hours.
Part B– Lessons will be taught on an individual basis between the tutor and the pupil, this will only be changed in the event that all parties concerned have agreed to it.
Part C– The payment for driving lessons must be remunerated by cash or cheque direct to the Instructor/tutor. It is mandatory for you to obtain a receipt as the Latif driving center LTD cannot accept culpability for any payments to your Instructor/tutor.
Part D– Whilst we aim to remain competitive in regards to our pricing, Latif driving center LTD retains the right to alter the pricing structure without prior notice. Future lessons prices will then be charged according to the new pricing structure but any pending pre-paid lessons will be fulfilled at the original price paid.
Part E– All prices include occasions such as weekends, bank holidays, week days and evenings.
Part A– Intensive driving courses do not include the following charges: the hire of a vehicle on the test day, theory test and the practical driving test fee.
Part B– Intensive driving course must be taken within 6 months of the purchase date. Out of that time period, the chance for you to take these lessons will be lost.
Part C– If an intensive driving course lesson is cancelled then you will have the balance refunded in full, the amount returned on cancelling an intensive driving course lesson will be proportional to the amount paid.
Part D– Our instructors require a notice 5 working days beforehand for any cancellations, changes & reductions in booked hours for Driving Tests, intensive courses or crash courses.
Part A– Block booking lessons must be taken within 6 months of the purchase date. After that time period, the chance to book these lessons will be lost.
Part B– Block booking discounts are only valid when paid in advance.
Part C– Block booking does not include the following charges: the driving test fee and the hire of a vehicle on the test day.
Part C– If a block booking lesson is cancelled then you will have the balance refunded in full, the amount returned on cancelling a block booking will be proportional to the amount paid.
PASS PLUS COURSE
Part A– The pass plus is a course which contains a minimum of 6 hours of driving tuition and the pass plus certificate will only be given to pupils when the minimum 6 hours of driving tuition are completed.
LOCATION OF THE DRIVING COURSES
Part A– All lessons will have the same start and finish locations unless your instructor and you make alternative arrangements in advance. To ensure the public safety of the instructor and the pupil the instructor will determine a location for the lessons.
Part B– The instructor will drive you to a safe location until the instructor determines that you are sufficiently skilled to drive safely from the starting location. The time taken to do this will be a part of the lesson time.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CUSTOMER
Part A– Hostile and violent behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in the vehicle at any time. Any form of this behavior will result in the lesson being stopped and you will be dropped off immediately. In addition to this, you will be charged for the full lesson.
Part B– If the instructor suspects you of being under the influence of alcohol, illegal substances or drugs (prescribed or otherwise), whereby your judgement and responses may be impaired, you will be dropped off immediately and will be charged for the full lesson. In addition to this, any prepaid lessons will not be refunded.
Part C– The instructor/tutor telephone number should be saved under ‘Driving Instructor/tutor’. This is to reduce the risk of unintentional texting/calling.
Part D– If, for any reason, it is necessary for you to text your instructor/tutor, then all text communication should be intelligible, without common text abbreviations or slang, and should be polite and formal in tone, as befits the professional relationship between you and your instructor/tutor.
Part E– Any alterations to pick up or drop off locations must be arranged at least 24 hours before the lesson, if as a result of this there is any extra travel time to these pick up/drop off locations then this extra travel time will be part of (incorporated into) lesson time.
Part F– If it is necessary for you to require driving lessons in your own vehicle (e.g. when taking a Pass Plus/refresher course), you must supply evidence that your vehicle is fully taxed, meets MOT requirements (i.e. your vehicle is MOT’d) and fully insured.
Part G– You will abstain from smoking in the tuition vehicle at all times and you may only consume food or drink with the consent of your instructor.
Part H– When taking your theory and practical driving tests it is your responsibility to provide all relevant documentation required. Neither The Latif driving center LTD nor your instructor/tutor accepts any culpability for any losses incurred by your failure to provide this documentation.
LATENESS TO THE DRIVING LESSONS/COURSES
Part A– Your instructor/tutor will attempt to be on time always. In the event of lateness, your instructor/tutor will contact you to confirm a new starting time.
Part B– You can reschedule your lesson in the event that the instructor is going to be more than 20 minutes late.
Part A– In the event that you have to cancel a lesson, a minimum of 48 hours prior notice should be given. Otherwise, the full fee will be charged if the cancellation request is under 48 hours. All cancellations must be communicated between you and your instructor/tutor. Latif driving center LTD is unable to pass on cancellation information.
Part B– The cancelling of a lesson must be conducted through a phone call or SMS text to your instructor/tutor in order to organise the next appointment without difficulty.
Part C– If your instructor/tutor cancels the lesson due to either sickness, mechanical fault or an unexpected situation which is not in your instructor’s control, then another time will be offered either for the same day, or for an alternative date and time, suitable to both parties, within the same week. If no alternative date and time within the same week can be arranged, a lesson will be arranged for the following week.
Part D– Your instructor/tutor cannot be held accountable for cancelled lessons due to bad weather.
Part E– In the event that you do not meet the instructor at the pick-up location or do not show up for the lesson, your instructor/tutor will wait for 15 minutes before leaving. The lesson will then be presumed cancelled and you must pay for the full lesson.
PRACTICAL DRIVING TESTS
Part A– When attending a driving test, a minimum of three hours will be required which include one hour drive prior to the test, one hour for the test, and one hour to get the candidate home and, therefore, fixed fee will be applied to accommodate the use of the learner vehicle for the test.
Part B– Your instructor/tutor is not accountable for tests cancelled by the DVSA due to strike action, road conditions in bad weather, or staff sickness. Hire a car for the practical driving test fee will still be chargeable. Your instructor/tutor will advise you as to whether, and how, to claim compensation from the DVSA.
Part C– The hire of a car on test day price does not include extended driving test.
Part D– If you fail to take regular lessons between a test being booked and the test date, your instructor/tutor reserves the right to withdraw the use of the learner vehicle for driving test purposes.
Part E– If you book your own driving test, your instructor/tutor must be notified of the date and time of any tests at least 14 days prior to the test date to ensure that your instructor/tutor vehicle is available for the test and to avoid the risk of double bookings.
Part F– Your instructor/tutor reserves the right to withdraw the use of the learner vehicle for driving tests if your instructor/tutor deems that you are not yet ready for test or that you do not have the driving skill level required to pass the test and it would, therefore, be unsafe for you. If you were to sit the test at that time (against your instructor’s advice) then neither Latif driving center LTD or the instructor accept any responsibility for this decision.
Part A– After you have passed your driving test, your instructor/tutor will ask you for a photograph or video. By agreeing to this, you are allowing us to use the photograph in our testimonials section and possibly elsewhere as promotional material.
FEEDBACK FROM THE CUSTOMER
Part A– The customer will be given the option to complete a feedback form regarding the service provided by your instructor and the service provided at the driving course, this feedback will be used to determine the effect of the driving course and the performance of your instructor, your instructor will receive a feedback on their performance at frequent intervals.
PROCEDURE(S) FOR COMPLAINTS
Part A– If a complaint or dispute arises then the following guidelines of the Code of Conduct will be adhered to at: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/driving-instructor-code-of-practice.
Part B– If there are problems that emerge then it should be resolved immediately with your instructor/tutor and we recommend that no subsequent lessons are taken until the issue is fully resolved.

Part D– Our aim is to resolve complaints within 5 working days, however in some cases we may ask for the complaint to be sent in writing, any requests sent in writing we will try to resolve within 28 working days.
Part E– If you still feel dissatisfied, you may contact the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency on 0300 200 1122 who may be able to help you further.
PRIVACY/SECURITY OF THE CUSTOMER
Part A– Latif driving center LTD will only use the information/data that we collect about you lawfully and we will use the information in accordance with the Data Protection act 1998.
Part B– The personal data or information which Latif driving center LTD holds to process your booking will be held securely, and will not be sold or passed on to a third party. This is all in accordance with the law.
LIABILITIES BOUND BY LAW
Part A– Your instructor/tutor will make every effort to train you to the best standard possible but cannot be held accountable for any errors you may make before, during and after passing a practical driving test.
RIGHTS OF THE CUSTOMER
Part A– These terms do not affect any protection you have under consumer legislation.
Part B– Latif driving center LTD retains and reserves the right to make amendments and alterations to these terms and conditions without prior notice. However, we will attempt to inform pupils of any alterations to the terms and conditions as soon as possible.
